SUITABLE FOR ORGANIC FARMINGBIOFERTI KITOSAN is an effective elicitor to combat some types of fungi, bacteria and viruses. It is composed of chitosan hydrochloride, Equisetum arvense (horsetail) and Salix alba extract (willow). white). All of them are basic substances, that have a fungicidal and bactericidal effect, by stimulation the natural defense mechanisms of plants.
Bactericidal activity:
The bactericidal activity of chitosan is associated with its cationic character. The free amino groups, positively charged in acidic medium, interact with negative charges of the cell membrane of fungi, change the permeability of the plasma membrane, with the consequent alteration of its main functions.
Fungicidal activity:
Chitosan is a polysaccharide that acts as a bioremediating molecule and stimulates the activity of
beneficial microorganisms in the soil, such as Bacillus, fluorescent, Pseudomonas, Actinomycetes,
