Calcium is an essential nutrient for plant metabolism; it is also the main nutrient responsible for creating structure in soils. It is absorbed and transported by plants as the Ca++ cation, forming compounds that stabilise cell walls and part of cytoplasmic membranes. It influences root cell elongation and pollen tube development. It helps activate various enzymatic processes and also helps meristem development. It regulates and stimulates the absorption of a large number of nutrients.

BIOFERTI CALCIUM is important for improving fruit consistency and hardness as part of the cell wall structure. Combined with humic and fulvic acids, calcium creates complex molecules called calcium humates and fulvates, which help to keep calcium fully assimilated over a wide pH range.

BIOFERTI CALCIUM contains 7% calcium oxide.
