BIOFERTI MOLYBDENUM is a 3% molybdenum fertilizer, complexed with low molecular weight carboxylic acids. Molybdenum participates in the redox system of the nitrate reductase enzyme, key in nitrogen fixation by the plant. In legumes it is part of nitrogenase, an enzyme that performs the process of biological fixation of atmospheric nitrogen. Molybdenum deficiency causes reduction in the formation and viability of pollen grains. Cucurbits are particularly sensitive to molybdenum deficiency. Its deficiency weakens the process of nitrogen metabolism in plants, accumulating nitrates in tissues. It participates in nucleic acid biosynthesis and photosynthesis. It increases the efficiency of the use of phosphorus and potassium-based fertilizers. Drastically
reduces nitrogen loss by denitrification and nitrate washing.
